National Volunteer Week 2019

Published April 08, 2019 15:47

National Volunteer Week is all about recognizing the incredible work that dedicated volunteers do year round. This year’s celebration takes place the week of April 7 to 13.

Today, volunteers are involved in more ways than ever. Nationally, over 18,000 community volunteers generously invest 1 million hours a year of their time and talent to help build vibrant Boys and Girls Clubs.

At Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs, our volunteers provide a solid foundation of support and encouragement that enables young people to discover, develop and achieve their dreams! Our Clubs value the continuous support we receive from community members, corporate volunteers and our Board of Directors. Volunteers provide support at all levels, from painting and updating spaces to cleaning and cooking their efforts help keep our club kids and youth safe and fed.

Please follow us on social media or visit our webpage to find out how you can get involved, or contact Bailey Van Os by email at jobs@obgc.ca to learn more.
