The Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs, in conjunction with the Ministry of Children and Family Development, is searching for loving families to become emergency foster parents in the Okanagan. Foster parents get to be a part of a professional team of people that work to create better lives for children, their families, and the community.
Emergency foster parents receive specialized training to learn the skills needed to be healing parents to children and youth in care. They also have the help of Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs support workers to create and maintain environments that are nurturing.
You can create relationships that last a lifetime by opening your home to a young person in need.
If you think that you have what it takes to provide a safe place to belong for children and youth in need, contact our support workers to learn more about becoming a foster parent.
