Can We Tell You How McHappy We Are?

Published May 15, 2018 19:29

Well another McHappy Day has come and gone and we are so excited with the results. Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs will receive $28,433 because of the amazing efforts of the Central and South Okanagan McDonald's Team and the communities they serve.

Boys And Girls

So much hard work went into the day and the days leading up to May 2nd. The McDonald's staff worked hard to decorate and encourage the community to make donations prior to the day. Their fundraising efforts before May 2nd ensured they were able to raise over $45,000 in Central Okanagan and over $11,000 in the South. The sales of McCafe products, Big Macs and Happy Meals on the day of contributed to the overall results.

"This was such an amazing day! McDonald's staff dressed in costumes showing off their Super Hero characters and enthusiastically encouraged all the customers to participate where they could. The energy and passion was overflowing. It was my first McHappy Day and I was blown away by everything the McDonald's Team did," said Hailey McNeil, Community Engagement Assistant, OBGC. "I can hardly wait until next year!"
